Description
This is a beautiful commission piece I had the honour to create for a bride for her September wedding. The yarn is handspun merino, spun by myself, in a custom colour to enable the colour change to fall exactly where the bride desired it to. Chain plied, laceweight, soft and warm, the final shawl is soft and airy, weighing a mere 90g, having used a little over 610m. In a peacock lace pattern that I have used before and can be seen in my gallery in a different size and colour.
Being teal the colour is an absolute pig to photograph, but on my monitor is truest on the bottom left. Its a lovely colour and I have very much enjoyed working on this piece. I love working on shawls and hope there will be more commissions like this in the future.

Beautiful. Did you colour the yarn after you were done knitting?
